i havent been on this forum for a few months and have been lurking in others.

i have met a few people in real life and online, both on this forum and on others.

And still the question goes unanswered: why not delete the Facebook group and restart it?

This is getting more and more disturbing. People's lives are being ruined for the sake of someone not wanting to click a button.

Why isn't anyone on JWN invited to the Facebook discussion by AAWA tonight?

It's clear that a decision has been made by the board of AAWA to disengage from any discussion regarding this matter on JWN so I don't think you're going to get any further answers here.

I personally will not be getting involved at this stage, partly because I disagree with the choice of name but mostly because the lack of concern for people's privacy and attempts to shut down discussion are disconcerting to me.

Problems with the "Bogus AWAA Fan Page"..

i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

Are you more ecological, more economical or more wasteful? Did your habits change at all when you left the borg?

i know from living on a borg budget, you don't have much choice but to live economically.

recycling, while ecological, can also be a form of economy.. did the verse "god will bring to ruin those ruining the earth" play a guilt factor in your ecological habits?

i know it used to hum along in the back of my mind.. did any of your habits change when you left the borg?

I was added to the Group without requesting I be added. Fortunately I have a separate profile for this reason.

that is my problem with "the name'.

active, or even questioning witnesses will undoubtedly be alarmed by the connotation of name.

This is a fabulous development and the mission statement is definitely something I can get on board with. Add me to the list of people who don't like the name though. I second the comments that the name should be positive. Something around advocating for human rights for Jehovah's Witnesses.
